As a 501(c)4 organization, donations are not tax-deductible. The Shalimar Association will always attempt to find ways to obtain needed resources that do not require direct payment. We follow these guidelines on the use of contributed funds
- Legal counsel, including land use and zoning, municipal, commercial real estate, and business law attorneys.
- Routine filings associated with the Shalimar Association and the Save Shalimar effort.
- Any necessary professional help, including specialists in the areas of: Communications, Fund Raising, Public Policy, Rezoning Campaigns, Education and Public Health, Biology, Golf Course Management, Botany, City Government Relations, Economic Redevelopment and Public/Private Partnerships.
- When a venue fee for a meeting must be paid. Depending on the venue, funds will be utilized for use fees and/or to meet minimal charge thresholds.
- Advertising, marketing and related costs, website design, data management costs.
- Office supplies and related materials.
- Incidentals including food/drink as part of meetings & gatherings.
